Is it just me or is Markis not spawning anymore? I did two runs and he didn't spawn in either of them. Also, the bonus isn't working either.

It is anti farming protection, too many people have been zoning into that mission zone lately so the code has been cutting back on mob spawns

Odd, I did the mission twice yesterday and it was working fine...

Maybe Markis got stuck on his pathway (he runs from the start)?

Does it have anything to do with running to the Seer?

MY groups usually just run past everything...

I was running the mission too (needed infusion) and Markis was there. I'm not sure what could be causing the problem besides another Iron Mine bug.

Markis sometimes has a hard time making his way to grave. He has a bad pathfinding A.I.

The most you can do is...
"If at first(or second or third) you don't succeed try and try again" But if you don't succeed the third time, try a wednesday

This is a bug in the mission, and it's not new. To solve it, you must travel far south, where you will find him. It is still possible to complete the mission (once you've killed him). And I've run the mission twice in the last two days with no problems, but I have run into this problem before...

always bugged for me to but when Anet fixed the bug (maybe not) I did the mission successfully.

Markis does seem to get occasionally stuck and even with anti farming code he spawns 100% of the time probolly had bad luck on his pathing.

9 chances out of 10 he got stuck running on the east side of the map. this happens on occasion. I have actually caught him once stuck on the map near the inquisitor spawn for the bonus. I stupidly killed him before catching the inquisitor and glitched the end mission. lol OPPs

Also I never have any luck catching up to the inquisitor in time before he leaves through the portal. I suppose he requires a infused spike group or something. Even warriors with sprint have a hard time catching up to him, and cripple doesn't seem to do anything to slow him down. I can get him down to about 10% health and he runs into the portal.

anyways... I have reported that way-point bug in the past on Markis. remember he spawns at the beginning of the mission near your positions and runs to that end point on the other side of the map. So if he is not there he is prob stuck back on the path someplace..

Oh BTW. I just did that mission again now that the henchies infuse... and its much easier to clear the entire map now. Also ... The chests on the east side are much higher quality then those that spawn on the west side... so save your keys for those... Lots of gold armors and gold weapons... I was pleasantly surprised to get a superior Protection, Superior Vigor, Superior Curses, and a Superior Divine in only three runs on the chests on that side with henchies. Wasn't farming really Just trying for the bonus, and not passing up oppertunity.

basically you have to get infused each time and run back to the bridge with the 2 catapults... head east then south. clean up and unlock chests on that side for good rewards... Don't take the bonus till you clear everything out on that side, go back take bonus and try for a quick spike kill. But alas he is so friggin fast I doubt its able to be done with henchies. I would love to do a full party infused party to just take the east path only. Ignoring the west side... that would be SOOO fun, but no one ever wants to do it. All I see is infusion runs in there. and being forced to pay for a runner to boot. Is no one actually PLAYING this mission? Must not be? as the drops are actually still really good.

for the bonus just clear everything out then post body blockers ahead of him(before you talk to captured scout)...cheap but works
